Cleaning with care

Jewelry, especially delicate and precious pieces, must be handled with care. Because of their finesse, antique jewels are often more fragile and require special care than new pieces. To care for your gold and silver jewelry, we recommend cleaning it at the end of each day with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints and accumulated grease. A chamois cloth is ideal for this type of cleaning. Once a week, perform a more thorough cleaning: prepare half a cup of lukewarm water with a few drops of liquid soap, then immerse your jewelry for three minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry gently.

Think protection

It is advisable to remove your rings when you wash your hands, as some metals can be sensitive to humidity, and to put on your jewelry after dressing and wearing perfume, as the alcohol in perfume can alter their shine and cause oxidation.

Keeping the shine

It's important to remove your jewelry before using household products, as certain chemicals can alter its shine.

To preserve your jewelry, store it in individual pouches to avoid contact and scratches. Also remember to remove it at night and during activities such as sports, gardening or DIY.

Perspiration, rich in acidity, can affect your jewelry.

Avoid water and sand

The beach or swimming pool are not recommended for your jewelry: sand rubs mat the surface of the jewel and the highly chlorinated water can oxidize the metal.
